So I was surfing around DeviantArt checking out descriptions on what kind of paper people use, and I always read Bristol Board Vellum or Bristol Board Smooth. So I was looking around and read the difference between the two. Eventually, I thought to myself, "Hmm.. I wonder what the other side of the paper of my sketch book is like." My 11"x14" sketch book looks EXACTLY the same on the front and back, so I assumed the price sticker that was on it when I bought it was the front, and I drew on that side ever since. When I tested out drawing on the other side, I swear I did the biggest friggin facepalm I had ever done. It felt so much smoother and easier to draw on. I was so angry with myself and that damn price sticker. I'm drawing on that side from now on.
Frustrations aside, I started up drawing more again. Though I've only finished two drawings in the last month I've been home, I did them within the past week, so I hope to keep the tempo up. Maybe finish one drawing a week or something. Also, I've noticed that I really enjoy drawing characters from like Newgrounds animations, and give them a comic book look. Kind of the same way that Zenescope does it to Disney characters and stuff. Right now I'm doing Super Hero Clock stuff 'cause I'm a big fan of that. Sometime later I may go back to Aladdin 3150 and draw the main character in his human form and the princess. And if I'm up for it, I might do a better drawing of his lizard form. I'm a bit more patient with drawing now, so I could probably some better details with his scales and stuff.
That's all for now, later.
